Name: Hal Communications, Urbana    (USA)
Abbreviation: hal
Products: Model types
Summary:

Hal Communications Corp. Box 365 Urbana, Illinois

Founded: 1976
History:
Hal Communications was the first amateur radio product vendor to sell a microprocessor based computer, the MCEM-8080. Their product was reviewed by the American Radio Relay League in the December, 1976, issue of QST. I solicited a donation of a computer and matching video terminal for the Purdue Amateur Radio Club and gave them a copy of the program converted to that equipment for their own distribution. This is a letter from them elaborating on this transaction.

This manufacturer was suggested by Alexander Küffer.
