Hammond Mfg. was founded in 1917 in Guelph, Canada. In the early years company produced radios, power amps. and battery eliminators. In 1926 radio production was dropped like many small manufacturers of the time in Northern America did because they refused to pay for patent rights to RCA. RCA wanted 5000$ for patent rights. Further production was focused on transformers and other inductive components.
Today Hammond Mfg. produces vast number of transformers, enclosures and other inductive components.
