Founded: 1918
History: 1918: Founded in Milano (MI), Corso Venezia, by A.C.M. van Eyk and Charles Nossent, as 'Philips Società Anonima Italiana'.
1923: Via Pantano, Milano. Sales of imported incandescent lamps.
1928: Production of incandescent lamps in the new plant at Alpignano (TO).
1949: New adress Milano, Piazza IV.
1958: A dedicated plant in Monza (MI), Via Casati, for construction and manufacturing of cathode-ray television tubes.
1968: In order to compete in the market of large domestic appliances, Philips Italy enters in participation with IGNIS (Industrie Riunite Elettrodomestici Spa). In the Monza factory the millionth produced television apparatus in Italy.
1969: Fully automated stock building in Desia (MI).
1983: The factory in Monza was moved to Via Philips.
1988: Monza becomes the center for the professional divisions.
1997: It begins the plan "All in One" that previews the transfer of all the business to the new center in the Via Lineages at Milano.
1999: The center of Monza becomes the headquarter of Philips Italy.
