Capitol Distributing Corp. is according to SAMS Photofact date 12-47, set 29, folder 4719-6 at least a maker of a three portable record player with amplifier and speaker.

Similar names:
There is also a Capitol Appliance Distributor Div., Capitol Paper Co.; 1201 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana (1961). Import of far east manufactured transistor radios. And there is a company "Capitol Radio Corporation" for which Rider's list the models UN61, UN62, UN72 and UN72PC - but we don't know an address or connection. 

We are not sure if this is the same company which is listed in the Radio Collector`sGuide 1921-1932 from Morgan E. McMahon with two models called "Songbird" from 1924.

History:

Capitol entered the tape player market in late 1968, ordering equipment from the Japanese supplier Kodama Chemicals Industries Co, Ltd. In 1970, after only a few models released, a decision was made to phase out of the market.
