In the November 1924 The Radio Trade Directory under the heading manufacturers of Vacuum Tube Sets on page 80, and again in the August 1926 edition of the McGraw-Hill Radio Trade Catalog, the Gilfillan Brothers company was located at 1815 West 16th Street in Los Angeles, California.
In November of 1932 Gilfillan took over the name and line of the Willard Radio Company.
Gilfillan Brothers Inc.; 1815 Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles, California (according to an add in April 1944 in "Proceedings of the I.R.E.) - Trade name Gilfillan. Made also radios for Jackson-Bell Company in Los Angeles, Silvertone etc.
Gilfillan is now the ITT's radar division.
1942 Gilfillan Brothers Inc. was selected to produce the first Ground Control Approach (GCA) radar. The first pre-production radar system was completed the following year and was instrumental in the success of the Berlin Airlift - landing planes at the rapid rate of one per minute
