Founded: 1904
History:
The company was founded in 1904 in Bluffton, Ohio by Ray L. Triplett, initially called Triplett Meter Company, it was housed on the 2nd floor of a building on Main Street in Bluffton. The 1st product that the company developed was the "Hot Wire" meter which was housed in a nickel watch case. The first meters were marketed under the name POCKET METER COMPANY. In 1932 the company name was changed to TRIPLETT ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT COMPANY.
