When putting on the 1961 model Waltham "8 transistor 3-Band radio WS-83L" I had doubts whether the manufacturer Waltham Radio Corp. Ltd. is correct. With this manufacturer 2 US-models out of the thirties are listed. The existing original documentation is of a certain company Waltham S.A., 9 Rue de la Corraterie in Geneva (Switzerland). Waltham devices seen so far (portables and cassette tape recorders from around the seventies-eighties) were, without exception, manufactured in the Far East. I assume in this case, too. The assembly took place with japanese components. Can someone help to assign the equipment to a manufacturer?
I’d like to thank rm-member Mr. Pigeon for the pictures and comments he kindly submitted.

Manual Standard SR-Q110FL produced from Standard J
So I could compare with my Standard schematics and items. Surprisingly, I found that
Waltham S.A. Geneva (CH) published exactly the same documentation for Waltham WS-83L as Standard Radio Corp. Tokyo (J) did for Standard SR-H105L, both in 1961.
Waltham Ireland produced and/or distributed the model Standard SR-H505L for Standard Radio Corp. Tokyo (J), produced the model SR 4000 clockradio (e..y auction 270195263627)
Beltrans Trading in Brussels distributed Standard and Waltham (WS-73L) models in Belgium 1962
Waltham Electronic Supertone in Paris distributed Standard models in France
Wyder Communications AG distributed Standard models in Switzerland 1983
Searching in the web shows that the manufacturer „Standard Radio Corp.” Tokyo (J) had a lot of models that came with different brands, such as Jefferson-Travis, Mignon, Sampson, Waltham and maybe even more.

Vielen Dank.
Freundliche Grüsse, Marc Gianella
