Ab 1933 vorwiegend Rüstungsproduktion (Rheinmetall AG; Reichswerke Herman Göring). 1946 SAG (sowjet.AG), 1952 VEB. Von Schreib- und Rechenmaschinen zu Elektronik, Datenverarbeitung. Ab 1980 auch Radio-Herstellung als "Konsumgüterproduktion" (5% der Gesamtproduktion). Hauptsächlich Computer (PC 1715 z.B.). 1990 Umwandlung zu "Robotron Büromaschinen AG", aber 31. Okt. 1991 Aus für die 8291 Mitarbeiter.
