1948 Futaba Corporation established in Mobara-cho, Chosei-gun, to manufacture and sell radio receiver vacuum tubes.
1962 Unique Precision Co., Ltd., acquired; Machinery and Tooling Division established; and manufacture and sale of press and die components begun.
Manufacture and sales of radio-control transmitters and receivers begun
1965 Electronics equipment plant established (specializing in radio control equipment).
Manufacture and sale of laborsaving equipment begun.
1967 Manufacture and sale of mold base components begun.
1968 Entered the display device industry with the manufacture and sale of gas-discharge display tubes.
1969 Foundry established for casting of press and punching die components.
Keyboard plant established in Mobara, Chiba Prefecture, and manufacture and sale of key swithes and related components begun.
1970 Manufacture and sale of cylindrical multidigit VFDs begun.
1972 Manufacture and sale of Pulscale digital read-out equipment begun.
Taiwan Futaba Electronics Corp. and Akita Elecom Co., Ltd., established to produce vacuum fluorescent displays.
Korea Futaba Electronics Corp. established (mold base components).
1973 Korean Futaba Corp. (name changed to Se-jin Electron Inc. in 1974) established to strengthen production of VFDs and keyboard switches.
Futaba Industry U.S.A. (changed to Futaba Corp. of America in 1978) established as U.S. sales company.
1975 Futaba (Hong Kong) Corp. established as Southeast Asian sales base.
Futaba Foundry Co., Ltd., established (foundry established in 1969 incorporated as separate corporation).
1979 Futaba (Europe) GmbH. (Federal Republic of Germany) established as European sales base.
1991 Futaba Denshi Corp. (S) Pte., Ltd., (Singapore) established (sale of electronic components).
1994 Futaba Precision Mould (Shenzhen) Corp. (P.R.C.) established (mold base components).
1995 Futaba Corp. of the Philippines established (VFDs).
1996 Futaba JTW (Thailand) Ltd. established (press and mold base components).
1998 Ceremony held in commemoration of company's 50th anniversary.
Futaba Technology Development Corp. (Taiwan, R.O.C.) established.
1999 Ceremony held in commemoration of Futaba Corp. of America's 25th anniversary.
Futaba's products are popular the world over and are now used in more and more fields, including office machinery, household appliances and motor vehicles.
Over 50 years since its inception, Futaba has taken strong root on the industrial landscape and has grown into a flourishing high technology that extends into a great many fields of industry.
