How to List Items in the Market Place To list items in the Radiomuseum Market Place you must first check to see if the particular model has an existing information or data page/file. The Market Place allows you to list items for sale, wanted (to buy), to trade or to have for free.
To advertise items or parts for a model already in the Radiomuseum data bank list: Select the particular models - file page. On the model page, under the “My model” tab select either “Ad for a set or Ad for parts etc.” Fill out all of the self explanatory information blocks. At this time you can also upload any pictures you would like to include. After completing the required information and uploading pictures select the “Save” button which will automatically send the information to the moderator for review and subsequent submission to the Market Place.
To advertise items or parts for a model not in the Radiomuseum data bank list: From the Home Page choose the “Market” tab. On the “Market Place – Search for offers” page choose from one of the following files (corresponding to what type of item you would like to advertise): Equipment//Literature// Knobs, Back Covers etc. // Tubes, Valves. After reaching the “Market place: Hit list” pages, choose the heading “New Advertisement”. Fill out all of the self explanatory information blocks. At this time you can also upload any pictures you would like to include. After completing the required information and uploading pictures, select the “Save” button which will automatically send the information to the moderator for review and subsequent submission to the Market Place.
Expired or Sold Items: After an advertised item is sold or the advertisement has expired, members should delete the advertisement, recording the sale price (if sold). Members with undeleted expired advertisements will not be allowed to list additional items in the Market Place until the expired advertisements are deleted.
Use the following procedure to delete an advertisement:
1) Click “Market” at the top of the Radio Museum Homepage. The “Marketplace – Search for offers” page will appear.
2) Click “My offers” on the right side of the page. The “Market place: Hit list” page will appear. Here you will see a list of the Ads you have placed.
3) Click on the Ad you want to delete. The page with your specific Ad will appear.
4) Click “Edit” at the bottom of the Ad. The “To create an advertisement / to edit / to confirm (Knobs, Back Covers etc.)” page will appear.
5) Scroll to the bottom of the page.
a. If you have received or sold the item, please type the Radio Museum members name into the “Name trade partner” box,
select “Trade took place” from the “Commercial conclusion” pulldown menu and then click “Confirm”.
b. If you have NOT received or sold the item, please select “Trade did not take place” from the “Commercial conclusion”
pulldown menu and then click “Confirm”.
6) The Ad will now be deleted and the forum thread closed.
