Does anybody have information regarding this unit, output in watts per channel and possible modifications in the power amplifier?

I am thinking that this receiver has 10 watts per channel.

GRUNDIG  RTV 380

Output- Power:
is not a Hifi Set!

on 4 ohms : 2x 7,5 Watts, distortion  = 10%  RMS

on 4 ohms : 2x 10 Watts, distortion = 10 % Music Power

Thank you Herr Knoll!

I am very honored to communicate with one of the designers of this receiver!

In your opinion, should I, or better put, could I make any modifications with the power amp section of this receiver or just leave everything intact?

Questions about GRUNDIG RTV380 You aren't logged in. (Guest)    4

Hello Mister Suleimanagich

to the GRUNDIG RTV380
I think it is not easy to make modification on that set.  The Power Stage is not an Emitter -Follower; it’s a Collector- Follower. I think, there is no ideas anywhere to optimize that Circuit.

The only possibility is, to change the Emitter -Follower Stage in Front of Sound processing. (bass treble and Volume)  A two-transistor circuit with 6 or 10 db of Gain is positively for the Sound. That is easy to make.
But the high deviation on FM Stations today and the high levels on other Sound Sources, let suppose, that it is uncertain if that’s necessary.

With respect,  Hans M. Knoll

Herr Knoll,

You are a great asset, and again, I'm honored to have the privilege to be guided by one of the masters of these mid century beauties!

There is no showing off here, only discourse that can guide one to the repair of something that's been sitting in some ones attic for more than forty years!

Many thanks for your assistance and instruction!

Omer
