Radio only is working on FM mode. My question is, I understand that zener diodes and sometimes varistors are used, is this a zener diode issue?
Also, I would like to replace ALL the zener diodes in this radio, but I don know what values

Why replace zener diodes? They are rarely ever faulty in battery equipment.
If it works on any SW band, then suspect a connection to the ferrite stick loop aerial.
See first is AM IF working.

This unit is battery and ac Grundig, during the sixties had many different models that needed zener diodes replaced in their transistor units (from my own experiance)
