Hi all....Thanks for finding my radio! I had a question about the small bulbs under each pushbutton. How do I get to them?  And  Will I be able to find replacement?  The electronic tuner litters and shakes after tuning a station....Is this normal?    Thanks   AL

 Hi Alfred,
If you need information about the automatic, you can find it here (its in German, may be google language tools can be a help to understand it). There are more articles in german about saba specific repairs, many of them you will find with "suchlauf" (German syn. for automatic) in the general search. Most information (in German) at Freiburg 125.
Don't try to remove the buttons, you have to remove the chassis to change the bulbs from downside.
Best regards
Martin

Hi all....It seems the jittering of the electric tuner was caused by a weak 6AB4 tube. I guess it jittered because it was trying to tune in station. Now it works perfectly. I noticed there is a empty tube socket on chassis. On the tube diagram it reads 'Multiplex'......What is multiplex?

                                                                 Thanks  AL

Empty socket for multiplex adapter, Stereo-decoder You aren't logged in. (Guest)    5

Hi Alfred,

the mentioned socket isn't reserved for another tube...
There one can install a multiplex-decoder. Essential for rf-stereophonic listening. By the way: your radio seems to be a very early model which has the facility for later upgrading to rf stereo reception. The right decoder should be this one. Nowadays difficult to acquire...
Best regards,
Bernhard

That would be the optional install to receive stereo signals.

Being that the radio is from the early sixties, many buyers of these radios weren't sure if they wanted to fork out the extra bucks, or deal with the early/primitive multiplex units.

Some eventually did place the multiplex add on a few years later.
