Dear gentlemen.
I want to know the model or type of this philips radio.
It was made in Argentina.

Date of production is probably mid 30's.

Dial shows an scale in meters (200 to 550)
There is also blocks with tuning reference to local stations.

Valve lineup is CK1, CF3, CBC1, CL2, CY1 and C8 regulator.

The photo shows the set. The grillecloth is not original.
I have more photos.

Best regards, Jose

Dear Jose
I have written the 5 tubes into the "Search for Antique Radios etc. by fitted vacuum tube sets" and I received mainly Philips 535U's but also a 537U model.

Is the schematic really identical if you name a CBC1 instead of CB1 and CF1 or CB2 and CF2?
I did not go into schematics and I still see a problem for being a 525U or 537U.

For Philips 535U Switzerland I see a wrong wiring diagram of the 525U. We will have to solve this.

In any case I can't see if your model has a tuning indicator like the 535Us or not. This is not a Magic Eye but could be a Neon Indicator. If it has, please bring in a model for Argentine of your choice but do write to the notes that this comes only by a comparison and the model might be named differently. With this there is a chance that somebody comes later and clears that.

So the rough keys are the tube line up and the tuning indicator. You should also see differences in the wiring.

Dear Ernst.
Your are rigth, I've mistaken the model reference.
Let me check, in the meanwhile I will remove the model 525U from the original text.
The set doesn't have tuning indicator.
Thanks, Jose
