Origin and purpose

There are several museums in the Netherlands which focus on telecommunications, radio and television broadcasting. There was not a museum that focuses on (or a section about) the history of broadcasting techniques for distribution of broadcast signals were used. This broadcasting techniques now comprise more than 80 years.

A group of enthusiastic employees and retirees of the one and only Dutch broadcasting station company has taken the initiative to the historical heritage in the field of broadcasting transmitters to collect and preserve. By the physical size of char is not possible to save everything. Nevertheless, this is far as is practical yet done with supplements in the form of documents, photographs and film. This website acts as a link to the outside world.

Such an initiative is only possible with the support of key players in this field: KPN Broadcast Services. The volunteers of the Museum of Broadcasting Station have access to the archives of KPN Broadcast Services in other ways and are supported by this company, including through the provision of old equipment and space for storage.

Over het museum

Inleiding

Historie KPN Broadcast Services

Stichting Omroep Zender Museum
