  • Contained 60 x "B" cells (U10) in series. A replica using 60 x alkaline AA cells is a little higher capacity (Zinc Carbon AA would be 1/2 capacity) and weighs 1.6kg (Zinc carbon AA are much lighter). Three B cells are used inside each flat "Flashlight Battery" such as Ever Ready 1289 or Varta Super 2012 3R12 (Some brands still available 2013).
