  • Notes
  • This Crosley console radio model Olympia 655M uses the same schematic as the 655 Olympia tombstone model with the same escutcheon etc. And the Crosley model 615 Cruiser is an AC/DC model with the same cabinet - but other tubes.

For the 655 Olympia models and the Buccaneer 635 models there are 3 different transformers possible: 60 cycle 110 volt, 25 cycles 110 volt and 25 cycles 220 volt. Tuning ranges are 540 to 1700 kHz broadcast, 1.7 MHz to 5.2 MHz and 5.4 to 15.3 MHz. There may have been used two different sets of knobs: wooden knobs (according to a photo of Greg Armstrong at Crosleyradios.com), which can be wrong knobs, or 8 sided bakelite knobs which can be seen on the Crosley folder. See also the model Buccaneer 635 with the same cabinet but other tubes and other features.

See details about season 1935/36 here. For Crosley and many collectors it is 1936 models, but fact is season 1935/36.
