VHF Communications receiver, covers 19 - 165 MHz in 6 bands (19-27 MHz, 26-39 MHz, 37-55 MHz, 54-78 MHz, 75-114 MHz, 110-165 MHz), AM, CW, FM, NBFM.
19 Tubes and VR150-30 voltage stabiliser, two GEX13 diodes used in muting (squelch) circuit. Further GEX13 used in AM detector.
Similar to 770R but with new cabinet, integrated crytsal calibrator, improved linear dial.
12 variants with minor differences, designation 770RMkII/RM for 19" rack mount. Matching EP17R panoramic display unit. Matching plinth speaker.
