Der Apparat verfügt über zwei Oszillatorsysteme auf zwei verschiedenen Zwischenfrequenzen (ZF). Dieses Prinzip gibt es bei Rundfunkempfängern aus Preisgründen sehr selten, doch bei kommerziellen und Amateurgeräten besserer Qualität ist das Verfahren öfters anzutreffen. Sinngemäss gilt das auch für Dreifachsuper und Kombinationen davon.
