  • This radio is made to be mounted under the dashboard of a car. There are 4 versions of this radio and are designated Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 (116A). Types 1 through 3 have serial numbers between 10,001 and 16,036. Type 2 matches schematic #175-B and differs from Type 1 by having R3 shorted out, R5 was replaced by 3,000 ohm resistor, R8 was replaced with a 50,000 ohm resistor and instead of grounding R8 it was connected to the cathode of the G-75 tube.
