  • The John Meck models Mirror-Tone 4B7 and 4F8 are very simple TRF without AVC or any feedback or reversed feedback. In Rider's volume 20, copyrighted 1950 we find on Meck page 1 the schematics of EC-720, ED-721 (Chassis 5A9), an other schematic for EV-760 and a third for the two models 4B7 and 4F8.

    This model Mirror-Tone model 4B7 was sold with three different tube line ups: The RF tube is either 12SK7, 12BA6 or 12SG7. The diode detector/AF amp. tube is 12AT6 or 12SQ7, the output tube is 50B5 or 50L6 and the power rectifier is 35W4 or 35Z5. We show the three different model pages for this extremely simple radio.
