  • The Blairco "Four" was manufactured for the Mitchell Blair Company by the Martian Manufacturing Company. This crystal set is almost identical to the crystal set that was also built by the Martian Manufacturing Co. called the Big Four. Ad April 1923, Radio magazine advertisement on page 2.

    The Martian Big Four was sold with one or two tuning sliders (ball on coiled spring); Lit.: M.L.Sievers: "Crystal Clear" vol.1, p.72. The Crystal Receiver was sold by different brands like Martian Manufacturing Co. Inc. in Newark, White Manufacturing Co. in Newark, Mitchell Blair Company (Blairco) in Chicago and probably by some more.
