  • Notes
  • The Airline 93BR-720A is an AC operated 7 tube BC and SW band receiver.  The BC band frequency tuning range is 540 to 1550kHz.  The SW band frequency tuning range is 5.7 to 18.0MHz.  Has built-in loop antenna for BC band with provisions for connecting an external antenna.  The SW band requird an external antenna.  Phonograph input jack on rear of chassis. Also has push-pull audio output stage and push-button tuning for 6 radio stations.

The same schematic and chassis for this model is also used for model 04BR-720A.  Note that the first 2 numbers of the model number are the last two digits of the production year reversed.

This model was built for Montgomery Ward by the Belmont Radio Corp, Chicago, ILL.  The Montgomery Ward catalog order number was 462 A 720.

NOTE: Starting in 1939, Montgomery Ward began adding the production series in the model number, with the letter "A" in the model number indicating the first production series.  Other service documentation (such as Riders) did not consistantly use the "A" in the model number when referring to the first production series models. However models without the "A" at the end of the model number are the same as the models with the "A".
