  • The Philco model 37-660 and 37-665 series (1936-37) are the successors to the previous model 660 and 665 series (1935-36). Both the 37-660 and 37-665 series use 9-tube 4-band AC-powered chassis with shadow meter (tuning aid). The difference is in the band coverage, with the 37-660 covering BC-18.2 MHz and the 37-665 covering BC-42 MHz.

There are two models in the 37-660 series with different cabinet styles. Model 37-660B is a tombstone, and 37-660X is a console with six short legs.

The 37-665 series offers the same cabinet styles in the 37-665B and the early version of the 37-665X. In addition, there is a late version (introduced in early 1937) of the 37-665X with a more modern console cabinet without legs.
