Aber: Gemäss internationaler Sprachregelung führt der Radiokatalog Band 1 alle Empfänger mit aktiven Bauteilen als RADIO. Wir unterscheiden hier ebenfalls nicht, ob mit Röhren bestückt, hybrid, mit Transistoren oder/und ICs.

Nicht immer war bei der Erfassung klar, ob der Empfänger eine Vorstufe aufweist oder nicht. Im Zweifelsfall kam das Gerät in diese Kategorie.

Standard-KW-Bereich ist 16 bis 49 m. Manche Rundfunkempfänger beginnen bei 13, andere bei 19 m. Äusserst selten geht der Bereich über 49 m hinaus ins Tropenband.

Per avere un'idea circa l'aspetto originario del telaio phonola 851 si puo' vedere quello del coevo modello 931, che era praticamente uguale. // For have an idea about original chassis shape see the phonola 931 that is technically almost equal.
L'esemplare visibile nelle foto non è originale ma ha subito pesanti modifiche, monta infatti la serie di valvole octal GT a 6,3V anzichè la serie europea a 4 volt (usualmente oro o argento) con zoccolo a vaschetta. Anche altri componenti sullo chassis, per esempio i trasformatori a media frequenza, appaiono non originali: sembra che il ricevitore sia stato "aggiornato" o per meglio dire ricostruito completamente (probabilmente negli anni '50) tenendo buoni il mobile, la scala e poco altro!
851 in photo has been heavily modified, it originally used gold or silver 4volt european tubes but this in photo uses later octal GT 6,3volt tubes. Even some other components such IF transformers and power transformer look to be not the original Phonola. Probably has been rebuild around 50's.
