Der Apparat verfügt über zwei Oszillatorsysteme auf zwei verschiedenen Zwischenfrequenzen (ZF). Dieses Prinzip gibt es bei Rundfunkempfängern aus Preisgründen sehr selten, doch bei kommerziellen und Amateurgeräten besserer Qualität ist das Verfahren öfters anzutreffen. Sinngemäss gilt das auch für Dreifachsuper und Kombinationen davon.

Professional general coverage receiver with "Wadley-Loop" technique, US - made variant of the model RA-117. This set uses a third IF stage, is equipped with an external / 2nd VFO input (can be controlled by transceiver MA79 or decadic frequency synthesizer MA350B), and has higher AF output power.
Some tubes are partly several times present.
