  • Model: Double Two   Mk1 - Regentone Products / Radio
  • Notes
  • There are two slightly different chassis. We call them Mk1 and Mk2.
This model employs the Mk1 chassis which shows the 1st IF-filter below valve V1, and the 2nd IF-filter below valve V2.

The Mk1 model can have either long slim or shorter fatter dial pointers, also the back securing screw can be near the centre of the back or lower down towards the left.

(In the Mk2 chassis released in 1957, the 1st IF-filter is above valve V1, and the 2nd IF-filter is above valve V2)

There are some other minor changes, they are explained in the Trader Service sheet "1381".

Battery or mains AC/DC. Price £13.12s. 11d. plus tax.

Similar or identical chassis to the RGD B55 (RGD took over Regentone in 1950s before in turn being acquired by ITT/STC owners of Brimar, Schaub-Lorenz and Kolster Brandes). Compare very similar case Schaub Polo 9005 (different Chassis). Polo was later used as name for a range of ITT UK & Germany transistor sets.
