  • The Sears Silvertone 6229 is a battery/DC operated 14 transistor portable AM/FM/SW receiver.  Uses Qty(4) 1.5V batteries or may be operated from an external 6V DC voltage source.  Has Elliptical PM 4" x 6" speaker and push-pull output stage.  Also has earphone jack that disconnects the speaker for private listening.  Cabinet is black plastic with aluminum grille and silver color trim.
