  • The model Sears Silvertone E Truphonic is a Crank phonograph with built-in radio. At least the radio chassis was built by King Mfg. Corp. It contains a Silvertone Model E battery operated TRF 6 tube radio in a slide out shelf. The loudspeaker is a combination cast iron and wood. There is an ad in Sears catalog Fall & Winter 1927 with order 46K4872 in Mahogany or 46K4873  for Walnut, price $ 90.
    The Sears model Silvertone E, 80, 81, F (R4430), 82, Power pack 82, J (R4433, H (R4432) have been made by King Mfg. Corp. and the schematics are shown in Gernsback page 207 to 209.
