  • Sony TR-911, Transistor 9 Super Sensitive was launched in November 1962, 21,000 sets were made at that time. This Sony TR-911 Radio appears in the Film: "Good Morning Vietnam" from 1988. The Soldiers used this radio to listen to the voice of Adrian Cronauer, played by Robin Williams.
    Wave bands: BC (MW) 535 to 1605 KC, SW1: 3 - 9 MHz, SW2: 9 - 24 MHz. It has a tuning meter. Production changes after serial number 87,000. There is also a full page ad in the "Time" magazine of September 20, 1963 for this SONY TR-911.
