5TR-193 was designed in both a 'lace' pattern and a gold mesh pattern.  Both were identical in dimensions and in circuitry with 4 transistors (convertor, 1st IF, 2nd IF, output) - although named '5' TR there is not a fifth transistor.

Date of manufacture is coded into a Toshiba's radio serial number.  The 1st digit is the final digit of year of manufacture.  The 2nd and 3rd digits are the month of manufacture.  The 5 remaining digits are the base serial number.
