This set was exported from SU to western countries (UK proven) and probably also to GDR.
Curved case with flexible hinged carrying handle.
Both versions - at the front side labeled "VEF Transistors" as well as "VEF-Tranzistors" are labeled inside as "VEF-Transistor" with english written texture and similar coverage.
In the UK you will find at present three different labeled versions of this set: VEF-Tranzistors, VEF-Transistors & Convair 1.

My VEF-TRANZISTORS MW/LW/SWx6 portable transistor radio with Made in the USSR stamped on the back, from the VEF factory in Riga, Latvia ca 1965 in its attractive black and cream plastic case and with a flexible thick clear nylon handle. Known as the Spidola in the USSR.
The inside of my VEF Tranzistors radio. Periodically the rows of brass contacts on the turret waveband switch need a quick clean to ensure that the set works perfectly.
