This variant has the normal glass envelope pinched in around the top two mica supports. This was done to increase rigidity and reduce vibration and microphonic sensitivity. Only known examples are Philips/Mullard made in Holland. It is also known as the "Dimple-Glass" version.

Hallo, kann mir jemand sagen, ob die PC86 von Lorenz mit der E88CC Telefunken identisch ist? Normalerweise sind die P-Röhren ja Fernsehröhren. Doch bei den Beschriftungen von Lorenz erlebt man öfter Überraschungen. Optisch unterscheiden sich die Röhren nicht. Im Inneren sieht alles gleich aus und die Pins sind bei beiden vergoldet. Allerdings ist die letzte Ziffer der PC86 verwischt. Es könnte evtl. auch eine PC88 sein. Gruß, Andre Bassin
