Description

The Z IIA was a 1924 designation and was redesignated Z2A in 1925. Most of the Z types had a matching rectifier which were a look-alike of the Z type. The rectifier for the Z IIA was the ZG IIA which had no grid and grid connection. For further data of the Z IIA, see Z2A. The Z and Zg tubes were replaced in 1927. It is possible that the Philips HEEMAF transmitting tube of May 1920 is a predecessor of the Z-IIA as they are identical in design.
