Universal Vade-Mecum, Electron Valves and Semiconductor Devices Public Page

The authors of this book have examinated about 15.000 types of tubes semiconductors and divided them into a number of groups. Each group comprises tubes related to each other regardless of the designation and produced by different manufacturers.

Received results were an interesting and promising. It turned out that number of companies in the world produce identical tubes or semiconductor devices, but for entirely different markings.

Moreover,  it turned out that the same tubes, that differ only slightly in terms of external performance received completely different markings.

Establishment groups in book is made on the basis of the so-called „fan”, it means that each group contains tube/semicon.devices which differ very slighty from tube/devices placed in a neighbouring group.

Thus a user of book Universal Vade-Mecum if necessary, can easily, having one type of tube, instantly find all other tube/semiconductor devices types with the same or similar parameters/data produced by different companies.

The book is written in 7 languages, provided with two indexes which allow very quick and easily way finding tube/semicon.device type and all of its counterparts. As well as to find such a group, wherein contains technical data needed for the designer-engineer of electronic system/circuits.

So the book of Universal Vade-Mecum arrangement allows largely avoids the need to have multiple producer’s directories.

The catalogue includes the tubes and semiconductor elements manufactured all over the world. They are classified in 637 groups comprising tubes and semiconductor elements of identical or similar parameters.

The following data are given in each of these groups:

1. Rated values of electric parameters and relative service conditions.

2. Equivalent values.

3.Connection arrangements for the valve socket.

4. Some characteristics of the valves, typical for each group.

5. Operating conditions for the most up-to-date valves.

In order to help the users make the right choice of tube for a definite purpose, all items have been additionally arranged in groups according to their characteristic parameters.

The designations of the tubes and semiconductor elements are printed in three kinds of type:

1. Italic – for the valves of old design, and valves with changed type number.

2. Roman type – for valves now in common use.

3. Bold type – for valves of latest design.
