Name: Mars; Arnhem    (NL)
Abbreviation: mars
Products: Tube manufacturer
Summary:

Gloeilampenfabriek "Mars", Kerkstraat 39A, Arnhem.

This brand Mars must not be confused with Mars in Prague.

Founded: 1925
Closed: 1931
Production: 1925 - 1927
History:
A. Koen, C. Weiland and J.P. Klautz founded the "Gloeilampenfabriek Mars" on 28-3-1925. They made low budget tubes, used by amateurs who built their own set. The tubes known came from advertisements in radio magazines in the period 18-4-1925 till 4-6-1927. That is probably also the period they made tubes. The company was formally closed on 15-7-1931.

This manufacturer was suggested by Peter den Boer.
