Hygrade had an own designation system and had a licence of RCA. After a merger in 1931 between Hygrade Lamp Co., Sylvania Products Corp. and Nilco Lamp works, the new company was named Hygrade-Sylvania. In 1932 it established offices at 500 Fifth Avenue, New York. The tube factory had as adress 64 Lekeview avenue, Clifton, N.J.

The "Neptron Corporation in Salem, MA, was at least in November 1928 (Radio Retailing, page 120) a subsidary of the Hygrade Lamp. Co.

The RCA licence referred to was announced in the Wall Street Journal April 8th 1930, in their "Broad Street Gossip" column
