  H.P. Donle was chief engineer of the "Connecticut Telephone & Electric Co.", Meriden, Connecticut. For a number of years he developed tubes that avoided violation of the Fleming and DeForest patents. This document contains information about these tubes. 1960 KB
History:
Dr.H.P.Donle was Chief engineer at ConnecticutTel.&El.Co where he had invented and developed the Sodion tube, a soft detector tube working with Sodium vapor, which was evaporated by heating from a reservoir of liquid sodium.

In 1925 Dr.Donle left Conn.Tel.& Elec.Co. to establish his own company, the Donle Bristol Corporation of Meriden, Connecticut, where later sodion types were developed and manufactured.
