Company was found by Czech inventor, Mr. Ing Jaroslav Pála and Hamburg businessman Carl Dillger in 1913 half-to-half. Dillger brought the necessary capital and Pála patents for new long-life batteries. After Big War factory had over 300 employees. Mr. Pála had found in 1919 new company in Czechoslovakia, Palaba and in 1920 HABAFA sold them patent/licence righs. Mr. Pála on end of 1924 left HABAFA finally and moved to CS. Factory buildings overtaken WW2 bombing without hard damages and production could continue, their maximum output before WW2 was 100000 cells per day, after war 10000 cells per day only. During WW2 no development or resarch was permitted, all energies being concentrated on a production of a few selected types, but no special types for German forces were made at this factory. In addition of above they produced a small volume of air-deposited cells for German Post Office. |
