Swedish record label. They issued at least one portable wind-up gramophone.

Founded: 1932
History:
1932: Sonora was founded on November 5th by generalkonsul Erik Ljungberg. The slogans was "Giv arbete åt svenska arbetare" and "Spela svenska schlager på Sonora, den svenska skivan" (Give labour to Swedish workers - play Swedish pop-songs from Sonora, the Swedish records).
1947: The recording manager of Sonora, Helge Roundquist, founded its own label "Cupol" (later captured by Telefunken).
1955: The swedish bandleader Putte Wickman recorded the "Sonora Boogie".
1958: Ljungberg sold the label to Philips, becoming "Philips-Sonora".
