Waltham Watch Company primarily is known as a manufacturer of watches.  They licensed the Waltham brand for use with consumer electronics (tube and transistor radios, and transistor tape recorders) from 1963 until around 1967.   

The Waltham brand was licensed to The Samson Co., Chicago, IL in the fall of 1963.  At least one transistor radio is know to have been manufacturer by Kyoei Electronics Manufacturing Co., Tokyo.

The 1960's Waltham branded products should not be confused with the earlier (1930's) radios manufactured by the Waltham Radio Corp., Ltd., Los Angeles, CA.
