British Industries Co., N.Y. (USA) - Ein Hersteller? British Industries Co., N.Y. (USA) löschen? Gruss Trevor

I'm familiar with British Industries Co. as a seller of hi-fi turntables in the 1970s. They are already listed in RMorg here: BIC I'm not aware that they resold any Leak equipment, but it would seem certain that there would not be a separate company with the same name as what was then a fairly well known company, BIC. So it would seem likely that BIC, New York could be an error. However, since the address is from Sams, it looks like we need to keep it here until there is definitive proof that the two BICs are the same company and have the same address. Tom |

I find Georg's and Trev's arguments persuasive. It would be best not to list equipment under the name of an importer, unless the importer rebrands or otherwise modifies the equipment. To avoid the problem of others trying to create the same model again under the importer BIC America, we could mention in the notes any information about importers and distributors, as suggested above. Best regards, Tom |
