The C & K Radio Manufacturing Company 299 7th Street, Brooklyn, New York offered a line of "kit" radios in the early 1920's. In a December 1922 Radio News magazine advertisement fully assembled but unwired models were offered. This was one way to get around the lack of an Armstrong Regenerative patent, offer an assembled kit that the user could wire as a regenerative receiver.
