DEIF (Danish Electro Instrument Factory) was founded in Copenhagen on June 1st. 1933 by Erling Foss (son of industrialist Alexander Foss) together with Richard Dahl and Alex Juel-Hyllested (both of whom had a professional background from the company "Helweg Mikkelsen").
In 1972 the factory relocated from Kobenhavn to Skive.
