"Croatia Baterije" were established as a battery workshop 1907th in Zagreb by Ivan Paspa, former head of lighting at the Vienna court theater, and later the Croatian National Theatre. It becomes Factory at 1918th, and in beginning was primarily engaged in production of batteries and electric motor repair. For their products, 1935th CB received the "Grand Prix" at the exhibition of electrical equipment in Brussels, and the following year a similar event in Paris.
The best-known brand which the company had was a flat battery at 4.5 volts under the name "Croatia" with the image of women in the Posavina costumes by which it was known throughout Europe. Market changes, so the company changed and a growing part of its operations directed towards services, while reducing production. Production ended at 2007.
