History:

Around 1956 the Australian subsidiary of the British firm was formed to build TV sets in Australia. In November 1972 they formed AWA-Thorn Consumer Products Pty Ltd with Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia) Ltd. to manufacture colour TV Receivers.
