The Ascom Holding AG was founded in 1987 as a result of merging the three Swiss companies Autophon, Hasler and Zellweger.
Today [2012], the holding consists of the divisions Wireless Solutions (Ascom Sweden AB; Göteborg), Network Testing and Security Communication (Bern, Switzerland).
The division Wireless Solutions produces communication equipment, like two way radios, pagers, W-LAN telephone (VoIP, Wi-Fi), alarms, DECT telefones (cordless) and more.
