Name: Estyma; (wo?)    (D)
Abbreviation: estyma
Products: Model types
Summary:

Estyma; (wo?)

Estyma made small to medium Mantel type mechanical and also early transistor driven pendulum clocks. They are best known for small folding pouch-like travel clocks with real leather covering. Their clock radio sets appear to use a German clock, (perhaps not made by Estyma) an Estyma case covered in real leather and a Hong Kong (Empire) Transistor radio.

History:
Many (all?) clock movements appear to have been actually made by other German clockmakers such as Staiger, Kieninger & Obergfell (Kundo) and Schatz. 1960s models are very common. Possibly Estyma was just a marketing vehicle for German clockmakers to the English market, which would account for the common nature of the clocks and lack of Company information on Estyma.

This manufacturer was suggested by Michael Watterson.
