History:
Gösta Bäckström AB started out from a company called Champion where Mr Bäckström was managing director. GB started to build quite complicated power amps for its time with Williamsson circuit and KT 66 and later EL 34 as output tubes. Power outputs from 10-100 watts.
The amplifier manufacturing stopped sometime around the early 1970:ties. GB then only sold components and imported other receiverbrands etc. Later the comapany was sold to Ericsson and proceeded under the name of GB Topcomp. Some time after 1990 it closed down.
