The company was launched as Polypower Products in 1981 in California. They distributed cone speakers to various companies, including Clarion in Japan.
When they began to produce their own finished products in 1986, Polypower became Collins Audio Products [Taken from an article in the British magazine "f.fwd - in-car sound", Jan-Feb 1991]. |
